Letter From the Designer
2010 Insprirations and Levels of Luxury
Inspirations for 2010 were abounding. I found myself obsessing on Artsy Bohemian Luxe influences for Beau & Ashbury, the Art of Japanese paper folding as seen in Origami, Presley & Mimi, the charming, post war fashions of the 50's for January, Betty & June, and the lure of Zen-like simplicity and calm in Kai & Ballet.
The greatest challenge for 2010 was to expand our offerings of attainable luxury to our clever, discerning brides. Why fall in love with your Dream dress if you can't afford to? So with the launch of 2010, we've introduced “Choose your Level of Luxury”: 25 innovative new gown designs and an influx of new fabrications that include less expensive alternatives to some of our most luxurious fabrications. We're stepping-up our “Clever Couture” message so that you can have your cake and eat it, too!
For the silk aficionado, quality silks are aplenty. Choose Elle in Duchess Silk Satin or June in Italian Silk Mikado, Ballerina in Silk Chiffon or glamorous Farrah & Hollywood in Silk Charmeuse. For the connoisseur of European laces, we have a wonderful selection, including Parisa in French Chantilly lace, French Alencon lace, and English laser cut designs...ooh la la! For those of you who simply love our smart designs and the quality craftsmanship that comes with a San Francisco made gown, relish in our new “Levels of Luxury” campaign! We've found a beautiful Italian satin Peau de Soie, a Japanese Mikado, several American made fabrications including fabulous laces used in Kennedy, April, and Noe, airy Tulle for Viva and Voila, Soft Netting for our Boho-chic styles, and crisp Matte Taffeta as an affordable alternative for Starlette and Mimi.
I hope you'll take the Liberty to see just how Dandie things will be in 2010!
Yours truly,
Amy
