Can the train be removed from my gown?

in

With the increasing popularity of beach and garden weddings, more and more brides are requesting that the train on their gown be shortened or entirely removed.

If you are ordering a custom made Amy Kuschel Bride gown, we can alter your pattern to modify or eliminate the train from most of our designs. We will work with each bride individually to determine the appropriate train length and adjust the pattern accordingly. Additional charges often apply.

I'm afraid to wear a strapless gown; I don't want to be pulling my dress up all day. Any suggestions?

in

A strapless gown slips when it is not fitted properly. If a gown is too big throughout the waistline it will fall to the hips creating an uncomfortable shift that causes a bride to feel the need to continually pull her gown up. Our goal with our custom made to measure process is to be certain that each strapless gown is properly fitted through the waistline to ensure that it stays in place. Proper undergarments are also important, especially for full busted brides needing more support through the bodice.

I'm ready to order an Amy Kuschel gown. Is a deposit required?

in

Once you have selected your wedding gown we require a 1/3 deposit to place your order. Payments can be made by check, debit card, or credit card; we accept American Express, Visa, or MasterCard.

An additional 1/3 payment is due at your 1st and 2nd fittings. We collect CA sales tax with your final payment at your 2nd fitting.

What sizes are available to try on in your San Francisco salon?

in

Most gowns within our collection are available in 2 different sizes for trying on, typically a size 6 and a 10/12. During your appointment, we will do our best to temporarily alter the fit of each gown by clipping, adjusting, or extending to suggest the appropriate fit that you can expect once a gown is customized for you. We can also show each gown on a dress form if necessary.

Where do you get your fabrics?

in

We import most of the fabrics used in the Amy Kuschel Bride collection from Europe and Asia. We select the highest quality laces available and bring them in from France and Italy. Our silk mikado, silk gloss organza, and silk gazar are also imported from Italy. We've found quite unique fabrications in England as well. Several of our silk satins and organzas are imported from Japan and China.

What is the price range of Amy Kuschel Bride gowns?

in

Our bridal gowns range in price from $1500 to $6500 with most styles falling within the range of $2000 - $3000. All of our bridal gowns are designed and made in San Francisco, California. Brides visiting our flagship salon in San Francisco will order their gown to be custom-made to their measurements; this is included in the price of the gown.

What colors are Amy Kuschel Bride gowns available in?

in

Most gowns within the Amy Kuschel Bride collection are offered in a shade of white and ivory. Each silk fabrication has its own subtle version ranging from soft white to antique white, pale candlelight hues of ivory to true ivory and deep ivory. Reflection also plays a part in color; shinier fabrics may seem lighter in color due to the 'light' radiating from the weave whereas matte finish fabrications highlight the true shade.

Luxurious color accents are available on several styles with sashes or underlays.

Do you ever have sample sales?

in

Sample sale gowns are always available at our salon. We typically have 6-12 gowns available 'as is' starting as low as $800. Please visit our salon to view the current selection, or schedule an appointment with a stylist to try them on.

Can you make a custom designed gown?

in

While we do not offer custom designed wedding gowns for individual clients, we have achieved great success with slight design modifications to styles within our couture collection. When you visit our salon, one of our stylists will work closely with you to find the fit, fabrication, and customized detailing that will best fit you and your wedding day.

How do I care for my gown?

in

All brides will receive a care packet with their finished gown with detailed instructions including: gown handling, pressing, cleaning and preservation.
